Community Spotlight: Glenn and Pat Trutner
Everyone knows that February is the month of love, which is why we checked in with long-time lovebirds and MillBridge residents Glenn and Pat Trutner. See their story below, and next time you see them around the hood, be sure to say hello!
Q: Hi Glenn! Tell your neighbors a little bit about you and your family.
A: Pat and I (and our two Shih Tzus) have lived in MillBridge for two and a half years. We are from Long Island, NY. Our two sons live out of state. Our older son, Greg, lives in Babylon, NY while our younger son, Jason, lives in Philadelphia, PA. It was great having them both here for Christmas (see picture). Pat and I own Serve Wellness LLC. As a Wellness Advocate for doTERRA Essential Oils, Pat educates people about natural solutions for health and wellness. She is also a Holistic Health Coach. I help out with our company behind the scenes. I retired after 39 years in commercial property/casualty risk management and insurance, mostly in the data analysis and technology fields.
Q: How did you meet Pat? How long have you been together? What type of activities do you enjoy?
A: We met at a high school basketball game and started dating a year later. We’ve been together a long time. We love attending MillBridge activities and events, reading, dogs, and traveling. We love taking walks in the beautiful weather down here!
Q: What is the most interesting Valentine’s Day gift you ever gave and/or received?
A: I’ve been pretty traditional with flowers, candy, and jewelry. Mostly though, we enjoy going out for Valentine’s Day dinner.
Q: What is your secret to a successful relationship?
A: All you need is love! A patient wife helps, though🤣
Q: What’s your favorite thing about living in MillBridge?
A: We have met some wonderful neighbors who have become our dear friends! The amenities are great, and the huge differentiators about our community are the activities and events. We wouldn’t have those without Kelley, Rebecca, Garrett, and the Community House staff. They are the faces of MillBridge and really provide the something special we fell in love with the first time we visited.
Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share with your MillBridge neighbors?
A: We all live in a wonderful community, and it is ours – the more everybody participates, the better it gets!
